The Assembla Securities Collaborative serves
the securities industry with a particular focus on securities
research and analysis. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Assembla offers its standard services to
the securities industry, including application research
and recommendation, application sourcing, infrastructure,
staffing, and software development. |
|
| |
We are also assembling specific collaborative
solutions for research and analysis. Research and analysis
is itself a collaborative activity. All analysts need
access to information from many sources and from outside
experts. The requirements of buy-side analysts, who produce
and refine their own knowledge, are not very different
from the needs of outside analysts. Outside analysts in
turn need to work more closely with buy-side portfolio
managers. In this environment there is collaboration,
not only on software, but also on data and access to people.
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
At the same time, each investor has a distinct,
proprietary approach to research and analysis, a secret
ingredient that adds value. The collaborative is designed
to support both the shared and proprietary aspects of
investment research and analysis.

Investment Workflow and Knowledge Management |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Assembla invests in collaborative source
tools for managing the flow of knowledge in an investment
operation. One of these, the Suprasphere product, gives
traders, portfolio managers, and analysts an instant-message
based system that is tuned to their daily workflow, and
which helps them accumulate actionable investment knowledge
in a secure, compliant form.
These tools can be used in both buy-side and outside
investment research operations, blurring the boundaries
between investors and experts.
