Singleton draws on 20 years of experience
as a software entrepreneur for his role in Assembla.
He has spent the past three years refining inspired
by open source processes for building and
delivering software. He also brings extensive experience
in financial research and the securities industry
to his role in launching the Assembla Securities
Collaborative.
Singleton founded PowerSteering Software in 1998
and served as CEO until 2001. His goal was to use
the Web to mobilize and manage global teams. |

PowerSteering software and application
services currently help 60,000 users at companies like
GE, EMC, Raytheon, Tyco, and Textron to manage more than
$30B worth of projects and strategic initiatives. Singleton
founded Cambridge Interactive in 1994 and bootstrapped
it into a significant Web consulting firm, launching e-businesses
for Giga, CERA, Forum, and other leading research and
advisory firms. |

From 1989 to 1992 Singleton was an independent
consultant developing a stream of new financial data products
for Thomson, Nelson Publications, Citicorp, and others.
In 1993, Singleton designed and built a clustered computer
system which learned trading rules through the application
of genetic algorithms. In 1987 Singleton joined the founding
team of SNL Securities, now a leading financial research
firm. He was responsible for launching a full line of
publications, databases, and analytical products. In 1986
Singleton worked for arbitrageur Ivan Boesky building
stock trading systems. |

Singleton is a graduate of Harvard University
where he received a B.A. degree in applied mathematics.

Sesha

 |
Sesha Pratap is an experienced
entrepreneur who has been involved in several startup
and early stage software companies. Sesha was a
co-founder and CEO of Centerline Software, a software
development tools company that reached $20 million
in revenues prior to its acquisition by Compuware.

After Centerline, Sesha was
involved in developing new business and market strategies
for startup companies and evaluating business opportunities
for venture capital investors. Most recently, Sesha worked
at Opera Solutions, a NYC-based firm specializing in turnarounds,
where he was responsible for new technology strategy and
implementation on several turnaround efforts. Sesha served
as VP of Development for Delano, a publicly traded CRM
company, during an Opera turnaround that restructured
the product line and business model, resulting in the
sale of the company to Divine, Inc. Sesha also served
as the chief technology officer for Intellirisk, a publicly
traded collections services firm, during an Opera turnaround
that implemented a new technology strategy that resulted
significant improvements in operations performance.

Jon brings over 20 years of experience
in executive technology management to the Assembla
team. Most recently, he started Half Moon Ventures,
where he provides a deep technical perspective combined
with an understanding of mission and strategy development
and execution to companies via strategic consulting
engagements, interim executive management, and technical
due diligence in support of investment and acquisitions.
One of his first engagements was as CEO of an early-stage
software services company focused on industry-specific
collaboration and procurement solutions for the
media production industry. |

Before this, Jon was SVP of Technology
and Strategy at divine, Inc., where he was directly responsible
for identifying and/or evaluating from technology, strategy,
and operational perspectives over 100 companies for investment
or acquisition, for setting technology investment strategy,
and helping both large and small businesses build leadership
positions. |

He also spent over 14 years at
GEs Global Research Center in roles including original
research (in distributed information management, collaboration,
and temporal reasoning), leading teams to bring advanced
software ideas to practical and profitable application,
and providing technology and strategic due diligence for
acquisition, partnering, and investment candidates. His
most recent role with GE was as Director of eBusiness
Technologies, where he was responsible for starting, overseeing,
and providing technical direction for a number of GEs
e-business ventures. He also regularly provided strategic
consulting to the e-business leaders of many of the GE
businesses and has been a strategic technology advisor
to Lockheed Martin. |

Jon holds Masters and PhD degrees
in Computer Science, as well as a BA in Music. He has
received numerous awards, published extensively, and has
been awarded 1 patent with several others pending.
